Cogeneration power plant (CHP) connection to a distribution network analysis
Customer: Engineering consultants
Details: The study was performed in accordance with EN50160 and IEC61000-3-7 standards. The goal was to asses 5 MW CHP generator influence on voltage levels in 110/10kV substation. Different system states were analyzed like sudden disconnection of the generator or loads in the substation.

Comprehensive protection coordination study in a thermal power plant
Costumer: Power plant operator
Details: The aim of the project was to increase powerful thermal power plant reliability throughout evaluation of power flow regimes, short circuit studies and optimize protection devices operation.

Reactive power compensation of a wood processing plant
Customer: Industrial company
Details: Installed apparent power of the analyzed wood processing plant is 10.5 MVA. The main purpose of this case study was to properly size capacitors for the present configuration of the company network and specify optimal location where new capacitors should be connected.

Integration of renewable energy sources

Details: Study had included reactive power and voltage control, voltage sag evaluation, harmonic load flow study, harmonic losses analysis, grid optimization through power losses, short circuit analysis and protection coordination.

Power plant harmonic losses reduction
Customer: Power plant operator
Details: In this study harmonics evaluation was done to prevent equipment damage and processes shutdown. Harmonic distortions were measured and analyzed at different locations of the network, then the network was modelled with EA-PSM and protection parameters where estimated in order to prevent the problem

Surplus protection devices tripping problems solving

Details: The costumer had problem of surplus protection devices tripping during large motor start-up. Our goal was to find economically feasible solution to this issue and also estimate motor start up influence on electric parameters in the network.
